Covid-19 Restrictions.

On Wednesday 13th May 2020, Drax Golf Club reopened the course in line with guidance from Governing Bodies. In turn, certain restrictions are now in play to ensure the safety of our staff, members, volunteers, guests and visitors.

Please read the below guidance very carefully before playing golf at Drax. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via email, info@draxgolfclub.com

  • Tee times MUST be booked. Priority booking has been allocated to members who can book through the BRS members app or our website. Visitors must book through Golf Now/BRS or our website using the booking page.

  • Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes before your tee time, unless permitted by the Club.

  • We will have a starter to monitor the first tee, please follow their instructions at all times.

  • The course has been set up so that the holes are only just below the surface so you can retrieve your ball without touching the hole.

  • Please do not touch the flagsticks while putting out.

  • The hole liners have been inserted so that the ball only drops a little below the surface of the green and can easily be retrieved without touching the flagstick.

  • Bunker rakes have been removed - please smooth the sand as well as you can using your feet or club.

  • Preferred lies are available in bunkers within 6”, no nearer the hole.

  • There is a gel dispenser next to the first tee that should be used before your round starts and as you leave the course.

  • Please ensure you do not share any equipment on your round and do not pick up your partner’s clubs or balls at any time.

  • Please also ensure that you observe social distancing at all times, especially as the course is going to be busier than usual at first and you may catch up with the group in front.

  • Once your round is complete, return straight to the car park. Do not wait for the following groups to return.

  • All golfers, whether members or visitors must wear a face mask when inside the clubhouse. These are to be worn at all times, even if you are just nipping in to use the toilets. Masks may be removed if seated at a table in the clubhouse.

  • Following the release of the NHS COVID-19 'Track & Trace' app, QR Codes are on display in and around the clubhouse. Technology permitting, we ask that you download the "NHS COVID-19" app and scan a QR Code when entering the club.

Much of what has been recommended is reliant on the common sense of players and we are sure you will all follow the guidelines to ensure that golf remains open for the duration of this unprecedented event.

Thank you for your continued support, and please do not hesitate to contact a member of the committee if you have any concerns or queries.

Best wishes and stay safe,

The Committee.
