Towards the end of February, the Greens and Competitions Committees advised of a temporary local rule whereby the greenkeepers would not actively rake bunkers daily. It would then be the responsibility of players to rake the bunker after they have taken their shots.
This local rule meant that should you end up in a bunker, you could pick up your ball, rake the bunker, place the ball back, play your shot and then rake the bunker as you leave.
As of Friday 31st March 2017, this temporary local rule will no longer be in place and normal bunker procedures apply as per the Rules of Golf. Please could all players ensure bunkers are rakes after a shot is played.
