It is with a heavy heart, that we have to notify you of the untimely passing of our former greenkeeper and member, Graham Gilson.
Graham passed away in the early hours of this morning, following his short battle against Cancer. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Graham's family at this difficult time.
Graham was a former Drax Golf Club Greenkeeper and a fantastic supporter of our club. His cheery demeanour will be missed by all those that had the pleasure of knowing him.
Graham's funeral will be held at Pollington Church, on Tuesday 4th of May at 12-noon, followed by Pontefract Crematorium. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be a restricted number of attendees inside the church.
Graham's family have advised that if anyone would like to pay their respects on the day, they are welcome to be outside where the service will be played through speakers.
