Club Statement

It is with immense sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Club President, Graham Painter. Graham passed away peacefully yesterday, May 26th, 2025. Graham's passing leaves an irreplaceable void within the Drax Golf Club family.

Graham was a true pillar of our club, dedicating countless years to its growth and success. He served with distinction as our Club Captain, then as Club Chairman, and most recently as our esteemed Club President. His unwavering commitment, passion for golf, and warm presence touched so many lives here at Drax.

Beyond his official roles, Graham was a friend, mentor, and an inspiration to us all. The memories we shared with Graham, both on and off the course, will be cherished forever.

Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to Graham's family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
